Character Bans/Wanted

You will find characters that are banned from being created due to their power.  You will also find a 'wanted' characters that other membersmor even staff are looking for.

Ranks and Attributes

Characters will have various ranks for each attribute. Each rank is designated by a ● so if your Strength attribute has ●●●●● that is a rank of 5.  It costs 20 EXP to raise an attribute to the second and doubles after each rank. Below is the amount for all attribute ranks starting with 1. Also to note we only have one attribute which is Battle Rating which is also known as your Power Level. Rank 10 in Battle Rating is equivalent to a God of Destruction.

Attribute(s)
Powerlevel determines your characters battle rating. It is possible to defeat someone 1 Rank above your character if roleplayed correctly.

Goku has a Power Level of ●●●●●●
Vegeta has a Power Level ●●●●●

Although Goku has a higher power level Vegeta can possibly win using his tactical knowledge.

Transformations & Powerups

Everyone can attain a transformation and all that is required is the correct power level and in-character threads of you training or attaining the form. If you are at God Tier [Rank 10] you will officially reach an advanced Power Level which is shown by having a "+". For example Goku has a Power Level ●●●●●●●●●● and uses Stage 3 transformation his new powe level is ●●●●●●●●●●+2

Kaio-Ken
Like a transformation Kaio-Ken can enhance a users physical abilities but at a heavier cost. Kaio-Ken on here will have 5 Staged that can be achieved but with higher chances to implode.

Stage 2: Power Level REQ: ●●● [Increases PL and ALL Techniques by ●● for 5 rounds. User loses ● Base PL after using for remainder of thread.]

Stage 3: Power Level REQ: ●●●●● [Increases PL and All Techniques by ●●● for 7 rounds. User loses ●● Base PL after for the remainder of the thread.]

Stage 4: Power Level REQ: ●●●●●●● [Increases PL by ●●● and all techniques by ●●●● for 10 rounds. User loses ●●●●● base PL for the remainder of thread]

Super Kaioken: Power Level REQ: ●●●●●●●●●● [Increases PL by ●●●● and ALL Techniques by ●●●●● for 12 rounds. User loses ●●●●●● Base PL for the remainder of thread. Can be used with a Transformation]

Techniques

Just like your Power Level techniques have ranks aswell but they stop at Rank 5. Someone with a higher ranking technique will when Beam struggles. [Think Goku vs Vegeta; Goku's Kamehameha has a Rank of ●●●● and Vegeta's Galic Gun has a Rank of ●●● therefore making his attack stronger. Everyone is able to create 3 techniques with all of them starting at Rank 1 ●. Utility skills do not have a ranking [ie.. Solar Flare; Kaio-Ken, Unlocked Potentional, and other Powerups that aren't Transformations will have their own guidelines.]

Battle System

Here on DBO we are a play by post and statless system [almost] so battle roleplay is limitless long as it makes sense. You are capable of defeating someone 1 Rank Higher [●] but this will be based on your roleplay.

Character's whose rank is ●●● or higher than your own will appear to be at God levels. Attacks will seem to not faze them at all due to their higher durability. Everyone takes a turn and go in order by agreed posting order. If it is a battle to the death the higher Rank will decide who goes first. If battlers are of equal rank and cannot decide on who goes first a Gamemaster will decide.

Since we do not have stats we will assume that a person a 1 [●] rank above, is slightly faster and stronger, but nothing you can't overcome with excellent roleplay. The higher their rank the more impossible it becomes [●●● ranks or higher].

Plots & Settings

We have chosen to go with player driven plots, now that doesn't mean that there won't be events or site wide plots in the future but as of right now we want our players at DBO to establish themselves and theit characters.

Current Setting:

All races have relocated to Planet Earth and Planet Namek due to cosmic changes forcing other planets unable to sustain life. This takes place 200 years after Dragonball Super in an Alternate Universe. Old heroes such as Goku and the Z-Fighters have been resurrected not to mention some villians as well. With the old heroes and villans there have been reports of new warriors that wield planet destroying powers. Will you be a Protector or a Conquer?
